The fall of 2016, begins my fourteenth year, as a member of the Venerini Faculty and my twenty-fourth year, as a member of the "Venerini Family".  My oldest child began attending kindergarten at Venerini in 1992. All three of my children have graduated from Venerini Academy, and have then gone on to attend and graduate from St. John's High School in Shrewsbury, and Notre Dame Academy in Worcester. My sons have since graduated from Weslyan University in Connecticut, and The University of New England in Maine. My daughter is now in her final year, at Assumption College in Worcester. Venerini has played an enormous role in my life, and the lives of each member of my family. I am grateful to all of the dedicated teaching professionals at Venerini, who have taught my children, for all of their elementary and middle school years. I am confident that they have been well prepared to deal with many of the educational, social and moral challenges that they will continue to face every day.
I am a graduate of Assumption College, where I received my Massachusetts Teaching Licensure in Elementary Education, for grades K-8.  During the years between 2003 and 2010, I taught in the fourth grade here, at Venerini. I completed my Masters of Reading at Worcester State University, in 2011. I began teaching in the second grade, as I neared the completion of my graduate studies.  I have been enjoying using the knowledge that I have gained, specific to reading development and remediation, to help my second grade students gain greater proficiency, with early literacy skills.
I feel fortunate to be teaching students, who come to me from families that value the same qualities and experiences, that my family and I found to be so important, at Venerini Academy. I know firsthand, that the teachers at Venerini strive to give all students a strong educational foundation, that will support future learning. The learning at Venerini, takes place in a very special environment, where students' Christian faith and a commitment to helping others, is taught and nurtured throughout their education.
